Shaun is a native of the Carolina coast. Born and raised in Charleston, Shaun was raised by a nurse, and he is passionate about assisting clients who are struggling with injuries and sickness due to no fault of their own. Helping those hurt by the toxic water at Camp Lejeune is a personal battle for Shaun, who spent summers and holidays at Camp Lejeune in the 1980s with his grandmother, a civilian employee who operated the food court at Camp Lejeune for over 34 years, and his grandfather, a retired marine.

“I still remember the awe I felt as a child being at Camp Lejeune with my grandmother Dot, who worked in food service on the base from the 1960’s until her retirement in the 1990’s. Then, Camp Lejeune seemed like the safest place in the world. I was profoundly disappointed to later learn that, during my visits, our service members, their families, and civilian workers were knowingly given some of the most contaminated water in the United States' history, and that the extent of the contamination and the risks of drinking, cooking, and bathing with this water were kept hidden. My grandfather, a retired Marine and Veteran of Foreign Wars, died in 2002 after years of debilitating difficulties with neurobehavioral disorders. Our veterans and civil servants deserved better. I am proud of Congress for passing the Honoring Our Pact Act, which allows us to pursue compensation for both those harmed at Camp Lejeune and their family members.”

Shaun began his law practice in North Carolina in 2006 before moving to Columbia, where he is married and has two children. Shaun is licensed to practice in all of the state and federal courts in North Carolina and South Carolina. Prior to forming this practice, Shaun was a partner at Adams and Reese LLP, an AmLaw 200 Law Firm, where he developed a diverse commercial litigation and injury practice. He has been recognized by SuperLawyers® for nine consecutive years, and he has been repeatedly voted among the Legal Elite of his community. Shaun is a Capital Club Member of the South Carolina Association for Justice, and he currently volunteers his legal services as General Counsel for Downtown Church, a Presbyterian Church congregation in Columbia.

Shaun has trial court and appellate experience in North Carolina and South Carolina, and he has worked on a case-by-case basis in numerous other states, such as Georgia, Florida, Texas, Nevada, Utah, and California. Shaun has experience working in cases that involve:
